I am a Calgary-based Senior Cloud Consultant with more than 15 years in IT. My background spans quality engineering, systems work, cloud operations and professional-services delivery. I now design and implement AWS and Google Cloud environments for migrations, landing zones, disaster recovery, security, identity, networking and infrastructure automation.
Current delivery focus
My recent work is primarily AWS-focused. I have led or delivered multi-account landing zones, MGN migration waves, Elastic Disaster Recovery drills, FSx for Windows deployments, WorkSpaces proofs of concept, identity integrations, hybrid networking, assessments and operational handovers. I also retain substantial Google Cloud experience across landing zones, GKE, Terraform automation, security logging, IAM and VMware Engine.
How I work
I work directly with customer technical teams from discovery through implementation and handover. My role commonly includes design documents, infrastructure build, troubleshooting, customer working sessions, runbooks, knowledge transfer and close-out documentation. On larger programmes, I define my workstream clearly and collaborate with other engineers rather than claiming the entire team’s delivery.
Outside work
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, reading, cooking and storytelling.
